How do I skip the animated Intro & enter the ©Primer?
Click the "Skip Intro" command in the lower right hand corner of the screen to bypass the animated introduction.

What software is necessary to view the ©Primer?
You will need a web browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer with the Macromedia Flash Player plug-in.

How do I navigate the ©Primer?
The ©Primer can be navigated by Browsing or using the Question Index.

Browsing- The ©Primer can be navigated by using the Previous and Next buttons in the lower right hand corner of the screen to move from one question to another. If a displayed question, answer, or resource list is longer than the display window you can move through to the bottom of the text by using the Scrolling Arrows to the right of the window.

Question Index-
Provides the user with the ability to move from one question to another by simply choosing a question number or topic. Holding your mouse over a question number will display the subject matter of the questions. Located in the Lower left corner of the screen. Selecting a question or pressing the Next button will display the text of a Question, Answer, Scenarios and additional Resources for each topic covered in the ©Primer.

Scenarios
Provides illustrative examples of the concepts discussed in the corresponding question. Each Scenario has been discussed by several experts in the field of copyright and simply represents a consensus of opinion. Links to Scenarios are located in the Upper right corner of the screen.

Making a selection will open the text for the scenario and provide you with the opportunity to type in an answer. Click "Check Answer" to match your knowledge against the provided answer. Use the "Next" button to continue the ©Primer, or select another Scenario button for the current question.

Resources
Provides links to additional sources on the subject addressed in the question (e.g. applicable sections of the Copyright Act). Located in the Lower right corner of the screen.

Previous
Moves you backward to the Question previously viewed. Located in the Bottom right corner of the screen.

Next
Moves you forward through the questions. Located in the Bottom right hand corner of the screen.

Exit
Closes the ©Primer. Located in the Bottom right hand corner of the screen.

After viewing Scenarios how do I continue viewing the questions?
Select the Previous or Next button from the lower Navigation bar to move on to a Primer question.

After viewing a Resource, how do I return to the the ©Primer?
A new browser window will open to view a Resource. Close this new browser window to return to the © Primer.

If you would like to return to the first question in the © Primer, simply click on the Question Index and select question number one.
