When the Wal-Mart in McAllen, Texas, changed locations, it left a huge "big box" store empty. Resourceful as always, librarians moved in, creating the largest single-story library in the US, a library bigger than two football fields!
Since moving to its new, spacious digs, the McAllen Public Library has 23% more users.
